Latoya Ammons and her family claimed something dark entered their Carolina Street rental home, bringing unexplained footsteps, a shadowy figure, strange voices, alleged levitation, and violent attacks.
Then the outside world entered the story.
Doctors became involved. Indiana child-services officials investigated. Gary police visited the house. Catholic priest Father Michael Maginot performed exorcisms.
And according to a child-services case account examined in reporting on the story, a young boy allegedly walked backward up a hospital wall and flipped over his grandmother. 😨
Was the movement physically explainable? Were frightened children pulled into a powerful belief system? Or did several unrelated witnesses encounter something truly unexplained?
Years later, Zak Bagans bought the Demon House, investigated it, and eventually had it demolished.
